Leads are the name of the game for building any type of business both offline and online so having a good lead generation process is crucial to the ultimate success of your business.
Though not all leads are created equal and not all lead generation processes are born equal. A sub-standard lead can cost you a lot more than it appears at first glance.
As an example, if leads are not being qualified in the marketing process then you’ll yourself wasting time on unqualified and disinterested prospects. Your sales rates of response drop, and business declines. It is a vicious spiral.
Understand, the lead generation process can be work intensive, both offline and online. The offline lead generation process involves driving to meet people head to head, and heaps of phone calls. If the leads are taken from fliers and forms filled in at trade shows, these leads have to be put into a database and then made contact with individually. Information might need to be despatched, which involves cost, and one way or another those leads have to be qualified and then stepped up to a sales department. The sales dep. then has to go through more processes, thru to closing, which hopefully leads to a sale.
Online lead generation looks to be much more simple on the face of it, but if you own your own M.L.M or internet marketing company ; you know that simply ain’t so. Instead of fishing in a sea attempting to find the right fish, you are fishing in a massive sea of folks, none of whom have heard of you, or your tiny business!
Any business takes time and money to get it off the ground, the more money you can invest in your business, obviously, the more you can spend on hiring folk to do the time consuming jobs, or to do the things you just can’t do. You can spend cash on advertising which should bring in more leads.
If you have built your attractive website and you are following all the proven techniques of success, like adding articles frequently, answering e-mails promptly, employing auto responders and having a prominent opt-in box, and you have built masses of backlinks thru article submissions, blogs and social media sites, why the heck are not you making any money?
If you are like 97% of all internet marketers at this point, you may possibly be thinking of giving up and returning to the arena of offline promoting. You were good at it. But there aren’t any jobs! The people in line before you are individuals who are far more qualified than you are!
So what to do? Buy leads? Good luck with that. Even if you can find a reputable company which will give you fresh, qualified leads, you may pay through the nose for them, whether you convert them to sales or not. Your profits are quickly sliding away and you cannot raise the cost of your product, because then no-one will be interested.
What you want is a trusty lead generation system that works, one that’s easy to learn and one that keeps you in charge of the entire process. Your lead starts with you and ends with you when you close a deal. You want a system that teaches you the very latest techniques of grabbing those centered and qualified leads, and will keep you up to date on the latest, inventive strategies for getting you through the lead generation process easily, leaving you with more time to build and improve your business.
